Brad attended Brooksbank Elementary, Seymour Heights, Windsor Senior Secondary, Anthol Murray School of Notre Dame (Wilcox, SK), and BCIT.
Brad was active playing sports while growing up, hockey, baseball, lacrosse, skiing, and golf. He played his minor hockey at the North Shore Winter Club, North Vancouver Rec Centre, Notre Dame, and played Junior B hockey in Port Coquitlam.
After graduating from BCIT, Brad began his career as financial advisor at Canaccord Capital for fifteen years before moving onto Jordan Capital which became Mackie Research Capital Corporation until his cancer diagnosis in December of 2014.
Brad enjoyed traveling, boating, and was an avid golfer at Seymour Golf & Country Club. He also played Senior Men’s Hockey at the NSWC. He joined Seymour Golf & Country Club as a Junior Golfer at age 13 and was a very active committee member with the annual Member Guest Tournaments. Brad also assisted with Canaccord’s Big Brothers Annual Charity Golf Tournament held in Whistler. He supported and participated in ScotiaMcLeod's Gordie Howe Alzheimer's hockey tournaments.
Living in North Vancouver, at age 32, Bradley married his wife Laura and they had three wonderful children: Jasper (born 2009), Serena (born 2011), and Preston (born 2004). Brad and Laura's children are involved with swimming, hockey, soccer, baseball, golf, Beavers, skiing and Taekwondo.
During his 31 month fight with brain cancer, Brad showed determination and a strong will to live; stubborn at times, yet very gracious and a gentle soul to all who surrounded him.
Brad spent the last five weeks of his life at the North Shore Hospice being cared for by a team of highly trained professionals. Doctors, nurses, aids and volunteers who showed love, support, compassion, and empathy not only for Bradley but family and friends going through Brads’ end of life experience.
